Has anyone stuffed a 6.0 in a ranger yet? I've always looked for a 7.3 in a bronco also and i've seen it once but that's it. like a mid 90's two wheel drive ranger would be sick as hell wit a worked up 6.0 kinda like banks' sidewinder truck.
sorry this was supposed to be in the 6.0 forum my fault
I am getting ready to put one in a Ranger should be fun.
Hypermax put one in a ranger and set a new speed record at Bonneville in August I think.
That's awesome man keep me up to speed with the project. Once you get some pics i'd like to see a few if you get time to upload em. Good luck with it, once your done you'll have to challenge "snow white" to a race for a beer ha ha. good luck
There's a guy who put a 6.0 and 5R110W into a 70's F-150, then took it to Bonneville. His goal was 150 MPH. The program Truck U on Speed has been showing spots of the install and the Bonneville runs.

So now this is a dumb question i know they said it broke the diesel pick-up record, there's no class rules for that right? i guess what i'm tryin to ask is he beat banks' gmc so know that ranger is the bad boy to beat as far as land diesel speed records
Pretty cool thanks man they should put oil squirter nozzles at the top of the cylinder let run almost full speed and spray oil in and let it run away that's atleast good for another two grand. It's awesome i've seen it and heard it quite a few times
That's awesome you could run 80,000 pounds jersey to california in like twenty minutes. ha ha I've worked on a lot of series 60's in a lot of columbia chassis but never a setup that cool.
but to just drop a 6.0 in your ranger is a different story...
thats a lot of power for all those "compact truck" parts on the ranger
IMO heavy modifications of everything down to the frame would be needed...
IMO: The frame will be OK. You'll just need to box it.
You'll need to put some serious springs on the front suspension and replace the rear axle assembly with something that can handle a little more torque, plus fabricate a heavier transmission crossmember, but overall the frame will be OK.
