Stiff clutch pedal?
Stiff clutch pedal?
Hey guys.
I test drove a '94 F250 tonight (7.3 IDI turbo diesel, 5 speed).
I pretty much love it except for one thing- the clutch pedal is super stiff!
Is there any way to fix that? The guy that owns the truck said he had the clutch master cylinder & slave cylinder replaced a couple years ago. He also said the pedal has pretty much always been like that.
I drove a '97 F250 with a powerstroke & 5 speed a couple months ago and the clutch pedal did not require nearly as much effort as this one does.
Just wondering what the deal is there. Thanks!

Likely that something is binding. There is a bushing that the clutch pedal assembly swivels in that could be dry of lubricant or worn. Be sure that the hydraulics were properly bled - no air in the system.
