4 wheel drive problem help
I have a problem with my four wheel drive in my '94 F150. When I put my truck into 4x4 and lock my hubbs in and give it some gas with the break on the front driveshaft will turn. I know you are not suppose to do this but I just wanted to test it. But the axleshafts will not turn. I took apart the whole front end to look at the gears and they are a liitle worn but not enough to skip teeth. Could the problem be in the hubs or the transfer case? If it was in the transfer case how could the front driveshaft turn? How would I know if it was the hubs? If the ring and pinoin and spider gears are all good how could the front drive shaft turn and the front axleshafts not? Or could the problem be with the pinoin splines on the outside of the pumpkin?
