another VIN decode please !!
I just bought a '65 F250 camper special as a donor for my '66 F100 and I need help to decode the VIN, so here we go,
VIN F250DK716090
AXLE; 24
WB; 129
COLOR; 8
MOD.; F250
BODY; D81
TRANS.; G
Also in my '66 I have a cruise-o-matic if I wanted to swap trannys can I use this one and why would I want to or not want to ???
I have been listing parts on EBAY so if anyone needs a part send me an E-mail, the doors and hood are in pretty good shape on this F250, the bed is not good look at the pictures on EBAY.
Thanks for the help !!!!

F25 = F250 2WD
D = 352 2V
K = Kansas City Assembly Plant
716090 = 1965
24 = Spicer (Dana) 60 / 4.10-1 / Non Limited Slip / 5,200 lb. Rear Axle Capacity
129 = 129" Wheelbase
8 = Springtime Yellow
F250 = F250 2WD / 7,500 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating
D81: D = Light Beige Crush Vinyl & Medium Beige Ladder Pattern Woven Plastic / 81 = 81B Custom Cab
G = MX Cruise-O-Matic
---------------------------------------
The 0 that follows F25 in the VIN doesn't belong there, it must be a typo.

Ford truck VIN's were 11 digits thru 1980. On your plate, someone goofed when they stamped it. There's 12 digits there.

Find the number on the passenger side frame rail and see if it matches.
