Does anyone know of a discounter for Weatherguard crossboxes? The local dealers don't cut prices and with sales tax, it is going to cost nearly $900! I found one or two online, but by the time one adds in the $99 freight charge, it is nearly the cost of a locally bought box.
I need a commercial box and the ones at Home Depot/Lowe's aren't going to hold up.
Why are you set on a weatherguard? If you want a toolbox that will hold up and can't be broken into I'd recommend Ranchhand. I had one on a truck that rolled and it only warped the lid slightly. I had another that someone with a 3' crowbar tried to break in by prying the lid open and it only broke about 1/2" of weld on the corner of the lid.
After having several Rawson Koenig boxes broken into these are the only ones I use on company trucks now, and you can get them for $500 - $600 (without freight)
They're the best hands down. Look on older vehicles and contractors trucks Weathergaurd boxes hold up better.
If you don't need a heavy duty box try the other brands.

That's why I mentioned the "dutch oven" toolbox. I'm a contractor and have had weatherguard and rawson koenig boxes broken in to many times. Their 14 - 16 ga boxes don't compare to the 1/8" diamond plate steel for strength, and the recessed disc locks can't be popped out with a screwdriver.
