2006 250 5.4 4x4. i have bilsteins and they halped a shaking a lot but i still have a bit. was curious if anyone knows of a stabilizer that works with stock suspension
If it's stock, then duals won't work. It has been talked about here several times, just do a search.
With the dual stabilizer system, on rough terrain the track bar contacts the center bracket driving it down into the tie rod causing binding in the steering.
So to replace the steering stabilizer on an 05-07 stock height SD you need to just replace the factory unit with a HD unit in the same location.
I experienced the same thing. After putting on 4 billsteins I had the Monroe shock put on. Solved all the death wobble/vibration. My bet is that this is a maintenance item, and if I don't trade my truck I will change the front stabilizer every 20,000 miles. I had 30,000 miles when I put the new Monroe stabilzer on. I could play the old one like an accordian in my two hands. Obviously wore out. Change it and your problems will be solved. Mine is a 2005, F-350 6.0 PSD long bed.
alright sounds good. my truck does not even have 10k on it and 3 out of the 4 stock shocks were junk. the stabilizer is prob the same. the monroe is the only one who makes one for us?
I don't know, but shockwarehouse sent me the Monroe. They seem to know what they are doing. Also, from another source, I understand that the RANCHO's we have are pretty much knock offs from MONROE.
do all superdutys have a stabilizer? anyone have any part #s for the brackets because i dont think mine came with one
My understanding is that the answer is yes. A qualified yes, as all super dutys with coil springs, which I believe are trucks built starting in 2005. Someone can confirm, but with the change to coil front springs from leaf springs caused the need for a front stailize, imho.
