Talyn, have you ridden in a chipped durasnax? the durmax's run awesome with simply a programmer, chip, and exhaust. kinda like the 6.0's, but i wouldn't give up my truck for either one of them. let ryan get a PPE programmer or an EFI live tuner for his durasnax then go and drive it!!!

Ryan, you should bring it down here so that we can check it out!!! looks like a nice truck!!! it would look awesome with a DRD sticker, but it's cody's choice who get's 'em so i probably shouldn't be doing the inviting. i'm sure he would have no problem with you though!!!

Yea, i've heard the new ones have pretty impressive numbers also, and that they were fluffed pretty big.

You can chip anything and get power out of it. Same thing with the newer diesels.

If you take a 95 PSD and 95 chebby.. did they even have one? and compare them, there is no match.

The 6.0 and the new PSD are very impressive motors.
TJ is a diesel mechanic by trade, and he's said to me he'd rather work on PSD's all day. And a mechanic, i know, for the genesee county road commision swears by PSD's.

The other diesel mechanic I know is back in the 2 cycle and detroit diesel days. So. his cummins i6 in his 88 dotch are fine for him.
Though He was looking at the durascrack.
All in all. I think between all the engines, the PSD and the Cummings are far better engines the duramax.
It's a silly name leading you to belive its durabal and maximum dependiable. (really creative GM marketing team) but... are they really holding up like the diesels that paved the way like the old detroit diesels, and the old cummings, or the old internationals?

Oh yea. no i havn't rode in one with a chip.
But i do feel its pretty sad that the one i do ride in and feels the best has the slowest driver behind the wheel. hahaha.

WHERE ARE THE VIDEOS??????? Joe, you got my hopes up for some burnouts from the charger and stuff. you better not let me down.

the only thing i've heard of the duramax's is that a chip really wakes up the power in them. i've only ridden in one of 'em and it was stock. i will say that it felt like it had a hard time pulling itself, much less a trailer. but i guess their good for somethin' if people are runnin' 10's in the 1/4 with 'em. i wouldn't say that they are good for dependability since they have aluminum heads though. seems to me that they would crack or something since they have so much pressure on them.
