yes, i mentioned making a raditor for the intake to keep it cooler. actually u mightbe able to rig the cooling lines around the intake and run them to the A/C compressor...but u need to have liquid to keep it cool. and about the starter fuel idea...can u say poor mans NOS? haha that is a good idea actually. while were at it for cheap mods, why not cut the tail pipe off and use a coffee can for an exhuast tip(less fabrication than tallpauls)...and maybe a few stickers borrowed from our rice burner friends to add a few hp.....
well if you want true power you need a quad deck alluminum spoiler with bolts sticking out in random places. That and really dark window tints. Get those too mods and you should be in the 400-500 hp range.
You would need a seperate radiator for the intake... i'm not sure if it would really cool it off much though. Unless you got an electric water pump or something... seems too complicated for the power gains though
The I6 needs more hp.
We should make a list of all the things you can do and how much they cost, then think of ways to make those same things with duct tape, ceran wrap, and wooden dowels.
u need a triple deck spoiler and even a non-functional hoodscoop o ya and a body kit...that'll add about 50 million hp....seriously ur idea on the list od a good idea though
CO2 will inhibit combustion. If you aim a CO2 extinguisher down the intake it will extinguish the engine. As a matter of fact CO2 is a major by product of combustion.
Ahh, they make CO2 filled fire extinguishers to put out a fire, the CO2 will disperse any oxygen that the fire needs to survive, so basically you'd put the fire out..........i dont get why you'd think CO2 would improve anything......

That's it for mods now, saving for a Stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.

YOu are absolutely right. Lot of oxygen there, but apparently not free for the combustion process. Just saw an old column by Smokey Yunick where he said for every 10 degrees lowering the temperature of the intake you increase power 1 percent. Not sure we can get much in this area, but with nitrous I understand the supply tank at 1000 psi releases into the intake at a very frigid temperature, which apparently adds to the nitrous excitement!
I know i'm a little late, but the air conditioner would take away from the power of the engine effectively cancelling the gain. Subtract for efficiency and friction and it could actually be a power loss instead of a power gain.
i still say, throw on some stickers and a triple deck spoiler with bolts coming out all over the place like rhetor said, and maybe a loud obnoxious muffler with a coffe can sized tip and lower it and put on a gawdy body kit the scrapes over man holes and u'll gain at least 600hp, hell them stickers are worth 250hp......
in all reality, the 300 is a work engine, not a speed racer. but it would help to give it a little more hp and more torque down low where it belongs on a truck engine....save the 4500 peak torque to the new chevy i6
Don't forget the aerodynamic improvements from those expensive stickers.....
Colder air is more dense, so the colder the air, the more air that will go into the combustion chamber and make more power. So ya thats why cold air makes more power.
