I have a Buddy in need of a 1960 hood and tailgate - Ohio
I have a buddy, he is about 70 and is not computer literate. He has a 1960 that was hit parked in front of his house. They have found everything they need to fix it up except a tailgate and a hood. It is a 6' styleside bed.
He lives in Ohio.
I checked the Classifieds
Just trying to help a fellow Ford Truck Lover out.

The Styleside short or long beds use the same tailgate 1957/66: B7C-9940700-A. The gate is 52 1/2" long.
The OP needs a Styleside tailgate.

How can a 1960 part # apply to a '59?
"Less name plate holes" means they're giving you a 1960 hood for a '59 truck?
There IS a definate difference if you stand the two hoods side by side and view from the front.
I don't get it!
Is that just a parts interchangability catalog you're quoting from?

All Ford sheet metal comes "less the nameplate" holes, simply because some models don't use the nameplates, plus it's cheaper for Ford if they let someone else do the drilling.
I use the same Ford parts catalogs that Ford Dealers Parts Departments do. With over 9,000 posts typed in a single year (an FTE record), I've typed 1000's of Ford part numbers here from 10 different Ford car & truck parts catalogs.
The hood reference source: 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog ~ Section 166 ~ Page 1772.
A coupla more sheet metal examples: C7TZ-9940700-A Styleside tailgate (1967/72) replaced C4TZ-9940700-A tailgate (1964/66) The tailgates interchange, but they are styled differently. B7C-8340700-A Flareside tailgate (1957/72) replaced BAAA-8340700-A tailgate (1953/56). The t/gates interchange, they look identical, but when the later gate is installed on a 53/56, it's slighly higher.
That's Ford for ya!
