Talking definity tires an good?

Im in the market for new tires. Running about 45k on my nitto terra grapplers, been very good tires but i need somthing a bit more aggresive. Ive have many diff brands and am leaning twords getting another set of BFGATs. I came across the Definity Dakota AT and MTs at pep boys though, they seem to be pretty solid but has anyone had any dealings with them? They are much cheaper then the BFGs but then again so were the Nittos and i havnt had a problem with them except the tread is wearing down. Any thoughts or suggestions would be a great help, thanks.
Im running 265/75/16 now but thinking about 285/75/16's
I want to change my gears out from the stock 3.55ls how low should i go with a max size of 285/75/16? are there any internal mods to the gearing of the trans i could do to get some better ratios?
thanks

i've had Dakota 33's on my 90 F250. since Feburary and have not had any problems with them.. truck gets used as a daily driver. only thing I was disappointed about was, Pep Boys had free alignment if you bought 4 tires.. They said my truck was too large for their machine.. bull---t.

Nitto and BF's are both good tires. You might want to check out Bridgestone dueler Revos....they wear excellent and no road noises.

i think he wants more aggressive, revos are not. what kind of terrain are you driving on that needs more aggressive tires than grapplers?

You might want to look at Cooper tires for another comparrison. They have an ATR which is a good highway tread with a little bit of an aggressive bite. They have one called the ST which is a more aggressive tire. These will sing on the highway though.

Might as well go to an MT tire if you want a more aggressive tread then.

i live out in vegas and there is a ton of wheeling and trails around here. I venture out into so utah so cal and north az a bit as well so my truck sees everything from sand and rock to mud snow and ice. The nittos have been great i wish they had a bit more tread deapth and bite. So basicly tread deapth and bite is what im lookin for.

The definity mt's have got to be the best mud terrain tire i have bought. Before i had some pro-comp x-terrians and bfg's. But hands down i have to say the Definity's MT's are the best. Definity is made by cooper, and cooper is a great manufacturor. If you got to go with any tire, make it those definitys, they have never let me down after 35,000 miles and not to mention the price for such a good tire

If you are going with 33" tires, you should put in at least 4.10s. Maybe even 4.56s if you dont drive a bunch on the highway.

Maxxis. They are soft tires, so they might wear out quick. A buddy of mine just bought a set for his dually.

I have a set of Firestone Destination M/T's on my truck and love them. I do a lot of off-roading, and they give great traction!
