hate to tell you but no dealership makes 120% or more on any vehicle. more like $500-2,000 at best on the highest model unless you add some warranty or accessories. Not $18-25,000 in profit.Your truck may retail as a left over for high 30's but not trade in. I will say they 15-16K is a smack in the face and way too low though, should have been more like low to mid 20's.
neither an EGR or VGT will make your engine leak coolant. Most likely has a bad EGR cooler and/or hose to it.

the hose or egr should of been replace when turbo was correct??

pipewelder most of the dealers are f*in theves. they only want to give me 14000 for my car and it is bb for 19-20000 but i need a truck and willing to give in but they are nuts for what they want to give for your tuck. ya i would say mid to upper 20's depending on acc. and condition. market is tough for dealers right now the market is so flodded and even at auctions they don't sell or make as big of profits as they used to. i would also say they make 500 to 4000 max but who really knows.

no, they are separate systems and have concerns at different times.

when a oasis report is done and no reocurring problems are found but probelms were found and adressed at one point would the truck be considered to be a good one. for example i:

my buddy at the gym has a 2003 6.0 110k miles lariat 4dr. all options. truck manufactered in 06/05/2003 and bought couple day after original owner. he wants about 15000 for the truck says nothing wrong with it. did a oasis found that couple leaks were noted and fixed such as leak from rear main seal, and one from a hose and turbo egr. etc. had to be removed to fix (my guess is that it was a hose from antifreeze b/c of over boost) and fuel light w/ rain was on. but all problems adressed were fixed. would this be a deascent truck to buy for 15000. if it is would mods mess the truck up? exhaust and chip? not going to use the truck for pulling just daily driver but want a lil more out of it??

Nah, I hate to tell you, when I was looking for a truck. I seen a 2004 GMC duramax CC/LB lifted and pretty nice ride. They were asking for $38,000 for the truck, I thought it was little high. But when I was taking it for a test ride, my wife found a receipt from the auction for that truck in the glove box. It was dated for the same day that I was test driving it. You know what! The receipt was for $18,000 and change from the auction. Also I know people that hit the auctions regularly, and they get them low priced.

Also they may give me low-mid $20,000 for trade-in, then they put them on the lot for over $30,000. At least they do that here, every state is diffferent.

well it used to be dealers only wanted to make 500-2000. sees from what peeps are saying and finding out they want to make 4000-10000. seems rediculous to me.

i hate used car salesmen.

Hey, I don't mean to an a$$. But here, the diesel trucks are going for premium price. It's really too bad. I was really surprised the asking prices for these trucks, even though the blue book is showing a different number.

When I found my truck, I got lucky, seriously..................
