that is what i basically did i told them they are way to high so they took of 2000 from the starting price from 38900 to 36900. i told them 35000 flat out with 15000 for my trade in and they said no 36900 and 14000 for my trade in and i told them i will see you all later. call me after you think about it. the truck was probably bought for 30-32000 at the auction. so they are still making money and it doesnt have to sit in the lot long too.

well your trade not mentioned before makes a difference, they will only ussually allow what they can get for your trade at the auto auction. This is what our dealership does, this way they cannot lose unless they have your trade in stock for too long. what are you trading in?? they will probably take 35,000 w/ no trade or only give you 12k for your trade and lower the trucks price...game of penny's. tell them they have your number and to call you if they change their minds..you should just go for a new '07 for not much more.

i have been looking for a 07 but cannot find one i like. i want a diesel 4 door lariat with leather bucket seats in front and in black, charcoal gray or white. i cannot find one. will also settle for harley, white amarillo, or outlaw. cannot find what i want within ct. if i have to i will travel but dont want to travel as of yet to find the truck i want.
From my understanding of how a VGT works is that there are articulating vanes inside the compressor. They change angles to regulate the amount of boost going to the engine.
Judging by the OASIS, it sounds like the turbo was replaced along with the EGR valve. But I couldn't tell you if the coolant was from the EGR cooler, of if the turbo had an overboost condition and possibly lifted the heads.

The vanes on the Compressor (cold side) side of the turbo are fixed. The Turbine housing contains vanes (hot side) that move to change the effective size of the turbo. By changing the size of the turbo, smaller at low RPM & load, larger at high RPM & load, turbo lag is reduced when starting from a stop. If a turbo is large there is alot of lag at initial start, but if a turbo is small the lag is reduced or eliminated but top end performance suffers as the small turbo cannot supply enough air. So a VGT gives you the best of both worlds.
These dealerships get those trucks for about half or less than the true value of the rig. They probably got the truck for about $18,000 or less.
When I was looking at a 2008 F-350 6.4 CC/LB lariat, I thought that the truck is way over priced.
I have a 2005 F-350 6.0 CC/SB Fx4 Lariat with all the bells and whistles, also only has 35,000 miles on the truck at the time. Then they told me that they'll give me about $15,000-$16,000 trade-in for my truck. I laughed at the manager and told him that he was an idiot. I know that my truck was blue- booked at about $39,000 for my area. Then I walked out. Guess what? That 2008 truck is still there after 2 months.
