2000 expo cd changer not working

2000 expo cd changer not working
I was driving the other day and I tried to switch from tuner to cd. The deck tells me that it has an empy mag. It is full of cd's but it will not play. do I have to buy another changer or can i fix this?

If it was me, to avoid the hassle of repair, I would just buy another changer.
I was able to fit a JVC 12 disc in my 2000 Expedition stock location. It fits just about perfect.
I'm even using the factory bracket.
