Found the Problem

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Oct-02 AT 01:38 PM (EST)]Well ive been having a problem with my 300-6 missing at 1500rpms at every gear so I got under the hood making ever thing was ok....so I drove it down the road still missing so I finally find the EGR so I plugged it, drove it again problem sovled I was so happy but my Check Engine Light is on now, is there anything I can do to make it go away? Really glowing at night, kinda annoying.

Found the Problem

From what I've read through posts here, a new EGR valve might solve the problem.

Placing a restrictor (not a total block-off) plate between the EGR and the plenum, then reconnecting the vaccum line might solve it too.

I guess you could just disconnect the light, but that might not be a good thing.
