4x4 push button that does not engage.

anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with my 4X4. It's a 93 ranger manual hubs and when I push the 4X4 button nothing happens, and no lights come on. when i take the switch out and use my test light there is power getting to the switch. Has anyone ever had this problem or have any ideas.

Strange? Possibly a bad fuse somewhere?

I know these year rangers had an epidemic of bad transfer case shift motors. Maybe that is a possiblity.

The most common failer on these systems are the electric shift motors that engage the t-case.
