Another vote for Warn Premiums. I know at least half a dozen people who have them and use them hard with plowing/off-road etc. and have never heard any complaints.
You won't find them really cheap I can guarantee you. I looked for a solid 6 months on ebay and everywhere else. They get their price. About $200 bucks on average. Didn't end up getting a set though, got a good deal on very low mileage OE Auto hubs. Works for me.
I got a set for my old 85 Bronco awhile back...best $75 I spent. Beat the hell out of them and they still worked great. Plus Warn gives lifetime warranties on the premiums I believe.
I just wish they would start making hubs for the 05 and up trucks.
After breaking 2 sets of OEM hubs on my '95 F-150, I installed a set of Warn gold hubs. They performed flawlessly for 150k miles, were still solid when I traded the truck in.
I have used both Warn Gold and Superwinch. The warn golds were superior in performance to the superwinch. Saying that, the superwinches worked just fine.
Gottem at NAPA.
Sorry but I don't think 200 bucks is really that much. You are talking about a truck part that in the dead of a snow storm you can't afford for them not to work.
What ever brand you get just spend the extra money to get good ones, don't buy cheap-ohs.
