Hello everyone, I have a 1977 F-100 short bed 2wd with a 302. I am looking for some other ideas for the motor that won't cost me an arm and a leg.
Here is what I have done so far:
* Hedman Headers
* aluminum performance air gap intake
* Holley 650 double pumper carb
* polished aluminum valve covers
* NGK plugs
* Accel 8mm wires
* new thermostat
* new fuel filter
* added a radiator overflow
* all new felpro gaskets
* 14" open air breather
* MSD super coil
* MSD distributor cap
* electric fan setup
* dual Delta Flow 40 series mufflers with turn down pipes.
I also plan to add an oversized radiator from a big block to help with cooling issues.
I have run out of ideas......need help
Thanks

I think that carb is going to be a little over kill a 600 with vac secondarys would be my choice.And as much as I like NGK plugs I would run motorcraft or autolights also.
650 DP is definately too much carb for a stock to mild 302. It'll run quicker with a vac secondary 600 Holley with a lighter sec spring than the 600's come with. I use the lightest to next to lightest spring for this. Another good choice is a 570 Street Avenger.
