Question SYNC in the 09'

So just read an article in Road&Track and they had the 08 Focus on there and so i got to thinking how cool it would be if it was in the 09' F150, anybody got any ideas? Dearborn Derek?

Also how about HID package available in the 09' I mean when i see HID's on a car/suv that really makes me think that thats a nice vehicle...

Well i just read an article in consumer reports that said that all ford vehicles would have the SYNC option available in the next 2 years, so now all we need is some HID's

HIDs may be nice, but I doubt they will put them in. There seems to be a ever so slight movement to make prohibit the use of HID lights on the highway for safety reasons. I am not saying that HIDs make a vehicle unsafe, but they have a tendancy to blind oncoming vehicles. SEMA has a branch that keeps track of legislation that would affect the automotive industry, and there has been more than one attempt to regulate the use of HIDs on vehicles. The point of all this? Given the potential for regulation, I would imagine that Ford would go for the proverbial "sure thing", and stick with standard lights.

Well even if they dont it would still be nice if they gave a option to

but now that i think of it, they would probably price it ridiculously high...

SYNC is a definite. LED headlights would be better than HID. They are smaller, require less power, and can be easily be programmed and arranged to give you light around corners when turning.

Yeah, the 09 F-150 will have SYNC, right now the F-150 and Super Duties are the only vehicles that don't have it. Oh yeah, I guess the Expedition doesn't have it either. But I imagine for 09, all of that will change.

Here is an article about LED headlights:

I think the best part is that they may never need to be replaced.
