another glow plug question

The 86 has the old style.
Glow plug relay on the passenger side inner fender behind battery.



Two small terminals, one has a black wire, the other is a purple wire usually closer to the engine.
Remove the purple wire and install a wire to run in to the dash and install on one terminal of a momentary switch.
You need to find a power source that is hot when the key is in the ON position to attach to the other terminal of the momentary switch.

Turn key to ON, push switch for 10 seconds, start engine.

Also, the Wait to Start light isn't entirely accurate. I was told along time ago to leave the key on until I hear the controller cycle the plugs on and off once they are truly hot. It does make a difference on cold mornings because it adds a good 5 seconds of time to the cycle. Good luck.

Ok, thanks a million. Im going to the auto parts right now to get a switch. That picture is really really helpful!
