Superchargers?

I have a 1989 F-150 with a 4.9 and I have been thinking about superchargeing it. What are the benfits of superchargers with regard to turbochargers ie. price, hp, torque, and efficiency. I am also having trouble finding a company that makes one for my truck, I found a couple, but I want to get a quality sytem if I am going to spend that much money. I would love some advice and tips.

As far as pro's and con's on a supercharger verses a turbo charger the main thing that comes to my mind is that the turbo has to have exhaust to "spool up" thus it kicks in around 2000rpm or greater. A supercharger will be there when you crank the engine as it is belt driven. Both can give you a big boost but the turbo is usually easier as you set it's boost with a wastegate. the supercharger you ususally ahve to change the pulley. but then again with a supercharger you have top end stress on your engine as in once you get above about 4000-5000 rpm it puts a BIG strain on your engine and makes more heat than it should. A turbo is also more efficent per say. Like a good turbo with a air to air intercooler should be about 85% efficent. A supercharger with the same amount of boost and same intercooler would only be about 50% efficent because of the drag introduced on the crank.
I have been tossing up both these ideas to go on my 300 and I am leaning on the supercharger way but the custom brakets are gonna KILL my budget. Either way, with the right combonation of mods you can make a 300 SCREAM
