Question for you guys. I have a Ranger so i have the bed cleets. Two of them are stuck, meaning the anchor is spining. But that's the question, how are the anchors attached and how would you remove them?
So i removed the bed (by myself) that was hairy. Got it up on a bench in the garage. Drilled out the remaining bed cleets. Removed the remainder of the wiring harness for the tailights. Got lots of new toys for the angle grinder and started chopping...
Removed the inner fender support braces, the rubber splash guards. Chopped the inner fender support out, had a tricky time locating the tack welds but i drilled them out. Cut out the rot on the passenger wheel well.
Investigating the rust underneath was surprizing. There was enough on the support to justify tossing it, but the outer wheel well didn't have as much rot as i thought. Check out my pictures of the work i've done at:
