windsheild wipers any way to add a delay

the wipers on my 90 f-350 only has 2 speeds any way to add a delay like newer trucks?

it is very easy to do. all you need is the delay module, and the delay switch. both are available form junkyards. unplug the current 2 speed switch, and plug the delay module into the existing plug in the truck, then plug the new switch into the delay module.

I assume you've tried turning the switch counter clockwise, right?

the 90 system is completly different from the 60' system.
that article is for putting a 2 speed wipers with washer in place of a single speed setup.

Yes, it is completely different, however the wiring is there for this "feature" so it's a matter of changing the switch, and adding the module.

I did this in my 93. Took me longer to find a junked truck WITH the module than to install it.

a hint:

the switch and delay module does not have to come from a 90 F350.

you can use any F series from i believe it is 86 up to 92 that has the wipers in the dash.

i have the wiper module sitting in my work shop and dident even remember.

about 2 years ago i parted out an 89 bronco and it had it in it and i set it aside along with a lot of other things i just found out im going to need im glad im a pac rat

nope got that too. i did even more digging and found 390 BB that i forgot i had.

i need to clean this. it is a 14 x 19 building filled with parts. mostly classic mustangs

i have an 87 ford f-150 with only 2 speed wipers too. thanks for this info, now i'll try to find a switch if i can, im disabled so its sort of hard to get around, thanks again
