Thanks for the info. I did replace the pilot bearing (getting the old one out was a trip). I'm doing a fishing trip tomorrow and I'm anxious to see if it is staying the same or getting worse (the boat will put a nice load on it). Somehow I think if its a resurfascing problem, it may get a little better with wear, maybe that's just dreaming.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-Nov-02 AT 11:01 AM (EST)]i have a question along the same lines my 85 trans vibrates when the truck is in nuetral and when i step on the clutch it stops my brother in law put a new trow out bearing in it and said the clutch disk looked good but it still vibrates what else could be the problem?

aight heres the deal wit clutches... if you ride them or say dont let them out all the way and drive off they will heat up and wear out. if ya get it out as quick as how can we say... or at a reasonable point and keep with that they will last a while.. if you pull loads and things like that then they will slip up and again causing heat and wear. so its just how your style of driving one is
