I just want you all to know I'm OK. We thought for a while last night we might get evacuated but conditions got better. I know there are some others in FTE that live in the area and hope all is well. Please say a prayer for the firefighters working here they are truely heros. Thanks for the space, Rich.
PS has anybody heard from Airharley.
Have'nt heard from airharley, I hope all is well with all of you. I'm here in Hemet an hour and a half away. We got fires all around us here, closest being the Aguanga fire. If you need anything or help just holler. be safe
Sorry guys. I am doing fine. The evacuation notice came 2 days ago and my family and I got out fine. We're all staying at my wife's aunts house in Laguna Beach. I tell you it is pretty rough listening to the radio and news coverage waiting to hear something. My neighbor across the street moved back in because they lifted the road blocks. To me that is a very dumb idea since the fire zone is 1 block from my house. So far the answering machine is still picking up when I call. Hopefully the sink isn't spraying water on the counter keeping that section of the house intact. LOL
Good to hear from you Mark. One of my friends in Rancho Bernardo lost his home and almost finished Cobra kit, 65 Mustang 2+2, and 64 T bird. My heart goes out to him and his family.
Harley for a minute I was confused on the fire locations... thought you were in El Segundo somehow.. ?? Anywho.. glad all is well. We are far enough east of the stuff here in Costa Mesa it just stinks and is an ugly color. Hoping things start to improve everywhere with a change in the weather... Some light rain or even a marine layer from hell would be nice... My God bless all the Firemen and families in need..& strike the sorry SOB's down who are behind the arson fires!! I don't understand how someone could be this heartless/naive.
I never thought about any of the guys on here being from those areas. The thing that gets me is the guys like airharley still on here and helping us with what really are petty problems compared to what he surely must be going through. A testament to all here on FTE I guess, some of the best bunch of guys a person could ask for to get help. Thanks dude- and my heart and prayers go out to all of you.
I second Cfrives3 on his post; its got to be rough and only prayers can answer this concern. As a firefighter myself; I can't even imagine the fatigue & stress on them and all the residents in So Cal area. Daily news is only a portion of the true devastation you guys are dealing with. God Bless and wish I could help more than prayer...

Keep up your good spirits Mark. If you need anything just ask. PM me if there is anything I can do, I'm only 1 1/2 hrs away.
You know Gangstakr.. your post made a light come one.. I wonder if those of us with trucks offered to help folks in need get their salvaged items moved to storage or ?? I dont have much $$ or extra stuff(clothes/food/etc..) to offer folks. Feel kinda bad being able to lay my head down at night/know there is food(what little) in the fridge/ clean clothes for work tomorrow ......stuff you dont miss till it's gone. If some of us wanted to get together for something like this.. I'm all for it..no idea how go about getting in in order, but more than willing to participate. I have 2 trucks to add to a list.
I mostly post on the 48-60 guys, but since I live in CA and nearly had my home torched in Santa Clarita (buckwheat fire). I just wanted to mention that the new tonight stated that the San Diego fires were started by an arson. They suspect it's a firefighter with extensive experience in fires. Unbelievable!.... Now I'm convinced we all live in a crazy world.

That's a good idea. Try to organize this for future, even if it is through a truck show just to get word out that we as humans and americans care and will help one another out. most of us will share what we have even if it's only a coat or blanket or a hot meal. being able to help people move their belongings to a safe location is probably the most help needed, after all that's what a truck is for.
As for now.. If anyone knows anyone in a bad situation due to these fires and needs help let us know we will do what we can with what we got.
Well as of last night we moved back into our neighborhood. The place was coated in ash and soot but other then that pretty good. I will post more tomorrow after I get a full night sleep and show up at work.
Very happy to see some of the locals offer up the hand.. if the emails come in and are out of the general zone I'll post up the details, if someone can help PM me and I'll pass it along..
