Cold Transmission slip
I have a new ford E4OD that slips for about a minute when the truck is cold. I get on the highway and it does not lockup fully untill about a mile of driving. After locks up it works fine the rest of the day? Any advice? I dont want to damage my new tranny.

The only advice I can give is, Take it back!.....A whole minute of slipping can cause a lot of damage IMO.
The lock up is normal. The engine needs to get some temp in it before the TC will lock. Mine can take 2-3 miles when it's >0F

Like Jim said the lock up is normal. The TC not locking up allows the tranny to get to operating temp. The slipping on the other hand is not good and I would take it back to where you had the work done or bought the tranny.
