finally hooked up my EGT. I put it post turbo in the neck of the down pipe as I worried about probe going throught turbo if damaged. What numbers are safe? I seem to remember someone saying 900* for post turbo. What temp to shut down?
i'd say 900... the difference isn't going to change whether your pulling or not... i was just talking about hitting a max of 900 towing is a lot different than hitting a max of 900 not towing... and by the way the last time my truck towed anything my dad was driving, this was before the chip, intercooler, and right after the stage 2s were in.. he towed about 12k down the road and hit 1100 max post turbo
yeah i know how that is. I wont let anyone drive my truck unless they absolutly have to. Im glad ive got the guage in since ive pulled some hills that were a lot longer and harder plus i still had stock exhaust and intake. IM sure my numbers were through the roof

yeah honestly i don't think running 1200 all day will hurt it... imagine what guys with stock everything and no gauges pulling 15k on hills are doing... and they do it for 250k miles
