There are some good ideas for tailgate support on Mar-K site; I'm looking at using the hinged metal, or possibly the coated cables. Both will require trimming the inside of the tailgate to make room for either. I went into metal shop today to order the braked metal for front of box. I reclaimed the top portion of mine, will lap join to the new metal. Cost of $ 70.00; would have been cheaper but this is minimum shop rate (hour).
