adding a tranny cooler
Hello all,
I have two superduty trucks, and have put the tru-cool max in both of them and more then pleased.
I just purchased an E450 with V10. I will pick up the RV on Tuesday. Gonna use it to tow the boat from time to time and wann aput the trucool max on it too. Does anyone know if there is ample room for it?

Tranny Cooler
As far as looking at stock coolers, you might be out of luck. My 99 F350 has the towing package, oddly enough though no tranny cooler. It simply runs through the radiator. It is something that I will fix this spring.

I have a '06 E450 MH and there is plenty of space underneath to plumb an additional trans cooler if that's what you want. Instead of another cooler, I swapped in a much larger finned aluminum oil pan [Mag HyTec] which holds an additional 4-5 qts of Mercon SP + a temp gage sender [connected to my Scan Gage II]. While out west earlier this year, I saw 20*-30* cooler trans oil temps than I remember from the previous years towing...
Works for me & is a true "bolt-on"!
