trouble code PO340
hey folks, im new to this forum but a long time viewer of this site, lots of knowledgeable people, My problem is with my 2003 f-150 V-6 standard cab 2wd 5speed. AutoZone ran a test and gave me the results of a bad CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. check engine light came on so I had it Checked. At first the engine acted like a bad plug wire, it would miss at times under accleration, then yesterday (sat) it ran like crap, like on 3 cylinders but if you acclerated it would run good at higher rpms, then it ran fine. I diconnected the battery to clear the codes and the check engine light went out, so i went back to AZ to have the check redone, when I started the engine, the light was back on, engine runs ok, misses at times, but does not run bad, but got the same good news about the CPS. where is this jewel located on this engine, is it external or internal, any pictures of where it is ? and is there a good online store to purchase this item.
