recall

I got my Ranger repaired for the brake / cruise switch.

The guy did it outside where it sat.

poof

The switch is plugged into the master cylinder and there have been instances where brake fluid leaked into it and caused a short circuit.

Big fire.
Truck go poof.

Too bad mine didn't before I had all the problems with it.

You could do the repair yourself if your switch still works. All they do is take the switch from being a continuous live circuit and make it to a switched circuit.

I had the recall done on my '01 f-150, there was a lot of vehicels included in this recall. I think ford only had a couple that gave trouble but with the safety issue they have to replace all the switches.

We got the recall notice last week, I`m out of town so this hasn`t been done yet.
It will when I`m off the road in the next 10 days or so.

Oh yes I could have done it myself but why use my money?
This way if it does go **** up they are responsible.

That would suck basically the whole front of the truck catches fire
