heat blows cold
98 f150- heater blows cold at idle, hot when accelerated, my mechanic said heater core was clogged and blew it out still no heat at idle any suggestions

sounds like no water flow. i would check radiator level first... maybe waster pump weak, no flow at idle..... it should not be vacuum related since you did not say the air flow changes from the floor to defrost vents.
