Was going to post two photos of a 1966 Custom Cab dash. I had two spares with one cleaned but unfinished and the other one going all the way to replating. Just got it back but seem unable to place in forum so one needs to look into my gallery. The guy at Mr. G (Washington state) did fantastic work.

Found him through an article in Legendary Ford about a replated dash for a Falcon and he is in Chattaroy, WA. He takes your dash, cleans it up prior to plating and checks for any defects. I happen to have two '66 dashes and sent one that had a little crack at the bottom and then across the little tooled gap before going along side the clear dash surround. The other had a small chip and he called me about the crack still would show in the small section it passed through. Not that big of a deal to me since we're talking maybe 1/2". I mentioned the other dash and he said a chip is easier to repair so I sent that to him. The cost: replate main dash $145, polish clear plastic face $20, plate fuel and temp $20, repair chip $45 and shipping $20. May have mixed up chip cost with plating fuel/temp gauges and I left the receipt in my office. I can't even find where the chip is and when he polished the plastic face he was able to get rid of the fogging under the alt. idiot light that many have.
That dash looks awesome. Your truck looks just like mine only mine is a long bed, w/a 352. Sweet!
Actually it is a long bed also. Soon to go back to hunter green and wimbeldon white but first bringing the engine back to it's original look. Black engine, black oil bath filter, and gold valve covers in a couple of weeks. Will post a picture of it.
The web site pretty much explains how it goes and has the price list. I initially wasn't going to have the clear plastic polished as I thought I could do it as well. Nevertheless, had Glenn do it and it came back in pristine shape. Those little hazy scratches from years of cleaning incorrectly were gone. The two dashes I had were picked off eBay about a year ago. The one with the crack really isn't that bad since the crack is at the bottom rim which is smooth and an easy repair. Then moves into about 1/4" of the swirled area and then alongside the center dash face. Not much too see and would be easily 98% perfect and most of you wouldn't spot it if I didn't point it out.
Went back and looked at the other side view picture. The first one looked like a shortbed in that light. I see now. Wish mine looked that good. Did you look at it in my gallery?
