snapped axle shaft
Well this might be a little off topic. . . but I mentioned a while ago that I had an 84 Fummins dually. . . well tonight I was burning rubber and apparently it was hoppin pretty bad and I snapped the RH axle shaft. damn! No more smoke out of those tires!!! So. . . wheres a good place to buy another axle shaft? Junk yard? I'm pretty sure its a 10.5 because its a dually.

I'll probably check out the local junkyard. . . however this thing is just a beater. . I mean its a fummins! hahah. Anyway. . . all its good for is making noise and leaving dually rubber on my drive! Breaking stuff sucks sometimes

If its a sterling axle its a 10.25. The 10.5 didnt start untill the superduty series, which also incorporated disc brakes. IIRC they also have a different spline count. If you find that to be incorrect (spline count) and measure it vs your truck, and find they are the same, let me know, i have a spare 10.5 laying around the house, with a chewed up spindle. Which means the axle shafts are still good, and I could see myself giving away a axle shaft to a fellow tire burner!
