Miles to empty?

I've run about 15miles past the 0 miles to empty mark. Filled up w/ 32gal in a 29gal tank.

well mine is now reading just above 1/4 tank and says 213 MTE and have traveled 416 miles since I last filled up and the meter reads 17.4MPG. So that would give me a total DTE of 647 miles. I ussually have to fill when the fuel lamp illuminates between 525-560 miles and takes 32-33 gallons and still reads 100+ MTE. This would give an AVG fuel economy of 19.60MPG @ 33 gallons and 647 miles. I suppose on flat road down south this may be possible but would not try it w/out a can in the bed!!! It lies on my truck, supposed to have a 38 gallon tank so I may be able to use another 3 gallons or so w/ the light on.
