HPX mod

I've been seeing pics of people with the hpx mod on there motors and noticed that the one line is moved up the head and then the additional line is put into the one you just moved and then over to the other head. Is that the way or can you go just put the line in the 2 unused ports on the heads and leave the factory on where it is. I just had a line made for the unused ports, hope I didn't waste 20 bucks.

yes you can do that. Just as long as your hose doesn't rub anything. Also i hope you have hose thats rated for about 4000 psi at 300 degree's. most hydraulic hose is rated for the PSI but not the temps.

roentgeep- those are the pics that made me ask and wonder if you have to move the factory line up the head or not.

Wink

Well with the TYMAR kit (like mine) you have to move the factory line from port #6 to #4 and the hpx hose must be connected between port #5 to # 6. but if you use this:

http://www.itpdiesel.com/store.php?c...on=show_detail

you dont have to move the factory line, because this one is between #5 to #4.

good luck.

Not only the mess it makes!
I have seen fires from when the oil made it to the turbo.
I still have a flex/braid line(7 years). Allway's had the thought to go with a hard line.

Ok, resurrecting an old thread. I have seen this SStube offered by Riffraf and one by Strictly Diesel. Are there any major differences, besides price?

Not really. They all do the same thing. If you have a aftermarket hpop you don't need it.

I had the local hydro shop build mine with 8000psi/10000psi burst gates hose for 45bucks
