ccv question

If i take the vent and just go straight down with it to where its just below the axles, would this be ok? I know my dodge does this and I wonder how bad the smells would be vs running the line to the back? Any takers

Most folks complain about the smell if it is dropped close up front, but generally only when the summer is on and the windows are down. There could be the potentail, though, of pulling the vapors into the cab when idling and the HVAC system is on "Vent"... better to run them towards the back.

It will work fine. The smell part is up to you and your passengers.

here is what i did with mine, routed great, minor smoke on startup, barely noticable. get a slight odor if the wind blows the right way with the windows down on a 30* slope facing north......you get the picture

My 95 Dodge with the Turtle Diesel vents right behind the rf tire just inside the frame. I have drove it for two years and I think I MAY have smelled it once, but I wasnt sure if it was even that...Mine is going straight down just like my Dodge. BTW I have never seen a drop of oil on the road...from this. There may have been one, but it was diluted by the other oil and fuel leaks.
