69man is right, by increasing the stroke throw, the displacement of the engine will increase. On a more technical note, this is achieved by increasing the distance between the centerline of the crankshaft to the centerline of the connecting rod journal. To compensate for the extra length the piston travels up and down the bore, and to prevent the piston from contacting the cylinder head, short aftermarket rods and a shallower piston with the wrist pin relocated closer to the rings to lower the pistons TDC position.
