I am trying to install an autoloc kl550 keyless entry system in a 1998 ford f-150 and have installed it according to all the manufacturers instructions but still don't get any results{as far as working} I was wondering if anyone has installed a unit like or similiar to this and if they have had same problem?
Is the whole thing just not powering up (sending commands to motors, actuators, etc.)?
I'm mainly curious as to what you can and can't do...
For kicks and giggles, I'd start checking incoming and outgoing voltages, fuses and any "built-in" relays that may be needed or included with this system (I haven't looked at the schematic for this yet)
well when i cut what i think is the main sender wire i lose all power to locks and when i cut lock wire i lose power to the driver door so i connect wires from the keyless the way i'm instructed and do the same with the unlock wire but i get nothing but a clicking sound from the device? stumped!
