HI MAtt, I dont have pics of what your talking about but i have a CB in mine. I located the antenna on the drivers side and set it up just like the FM antenna is on the passenger side. Wasnt hard, just have to have patience to run your coax. Remove wiper arms and plastic cowl. On the drivers side there is a metal tab that the screw for the cowl screws to. You then gently bend that tab upward to level. (But just the end. be sure not to bend the higher side that have the plastic insert for the cowl screw. Then drill your hole for the Coax connector mount. Next run your coax thru the open pannel to the fender in snake it into the interior. (There are a few paths to take, just decide what works best for where you are mounting the radio vs. coax length.) Next conect the coax to the bottom of the connector BEFore you mount the coneecter into the hole. Its a bit tight and you might slice a finger in the process but once you get it tucked under & thru the whole you can secure it with the nut for the connector. Next use a test light hooking the clip to bat+ and the pointer to the side of the connector. You want to be sure it shows a good ground. If not youll have to take it apart and scrap that tab bare. (I had no porbelms though) Then apply some paint or chalk to the top of the connector and lay the cowl in place to mark the under side of the cowl for drilling. *Or any other method you want, just be sure the hole in the cowl is centered oover your connector so its a clean look when done. You mau have to trim the grid plastic on the underside of thre cowl also for a flush fit around the connector. Next, thread a 1" barrel extention (can get at any CB place/truck stop) and secure that into the connector and make that super tight (No glues or thread locker though as you need to maintain the good ground. Now you can replace the cowl. This will take a little finesse to get in place as you have to sneak it over the exrtension piece. That step isnt too bad if you correctly aligned the hole in the cowl with the connector assmbly. Once it falls into place replace the screws for the cowl. Its a clean looking install and the extension sits just out it the cowl. You can now easily thread any standard CB antenna on to theat set up. The plastic cowl also stablizes the mount so it dosnt wobble in the wind much. I use a thin base loaded anteena that has a 4ft steeel whip to it. The thin whip is a better choice over the thicker fiberglass antenna as thewy have to much drag in the wind and therefore is less likley to flex on that mounting tab. Works well with my Galaxy radio. This probably NEVER answered your question and I dont have pic of my set up but its an alternative to the mirros idea. Let me know what you think.
