O/D Button
[2005 Lariat SCREW] I noticed coming home tonight that my OD Button isn't working. I obviously have the console shifter...the gears don't shift down and the light on the dash doesn't illuminate.
Does anyone else have this problem? I hope it just req. a button change and not a whole shifter assembly replacement.
Side note...
Anybody else have a problem with the chrome coming off their shifter? Around the stalk of the shifter the chrome "sticker" was bubbling and Ford replaced the whole assembly under warranty. Now I notice it is starting to peel around the edges of the cap on the top of the shifter...I'm not out of warranty...ugh

Well those cup holders are awful close to that O.D. button. I knew it was only a matter of time before some liquid found it’s way there. A little splash of coffee all it took. You guessed it no O.D. Down to the dealer I went. They popped out the old switch and replaced with a new one. No problems now. Probably not the best spot for the switch. Hey, they replaced it under warranty (didn’t mention the coffee thing). Good luck BWEP
