Anyone know what color the 9" diff carrier is painted with stock?
It's a kind of reddish rust color.
I need the name and/or paint type.

Just regular Red Primer

I would use Tremclad Red Primer

Differential Paint
I have painted several differentials with Gylptal Enamel. It is a reddish color, seals the poors in the casting, made to be used on both the inside and edxterior, looks great, can be brushed on and it self levels.

Can buy it from Eastwood. E-mail me and I will send you a pic.

Thanks. Yes it's POR15 gloss, brushed on and red oxide primer on the carrier.

Keep that Mustang, I've been offered a lot of money for mine.

WOW.. whenever I brush on POR15 I end up with massive brush marks. Looks good.

I've always brushed it on and it always has self leveled itself, just like the rear end shown above. I've never had brush marks!
