I bought a brand new 07 F350 4WD King Ranch super crew long bed Powerstroke in January. It was great for the first 2200 miles and then it broke down. I had it towed in and the next day the dealer started it up no problem. the dealer then reprogrammed the computer and kept the truck for a week. I got the truck back and it was a dog! it had no pick up , the fuel pump ran for 30 seconds after you switched it off, and twice over the next 2000 miles it failed to accelerate after i pulled into traffic. I took it back to the dealer and told them about the problems. they reprogrammed the computer again, and said that everything else checked out on the Ford computer. the next week we took off on vacation, hauling our 5th wheel. first day out I pulled out into an intersection, with two semi's approaching, and the truck failed to accelerate again. this happened two more times over the next week. then we checked our gas mileage,6 mpg towing and 10 mpg solo. in addition to the acceleration problems, the kickdown into passing gear was pathetic. I talked to ford and they had me take the truck to a different dealer.I did and they drove the truck exaactly 4 miles, put it on the computer and told me the truck was running correctly and come and pick it up. they didn't adjust the truck at all and told me that the gas mileage would get better as the truck broke in. Has anyone got an answer or a similar experience?

wow i'm sorry to hear that bro. i'll bump this for you. sounds like you need to get a dealer that knows what the hell his job is.

i've heard so many of these horror stories of incompetent dealers.
