I am new to this site but I am a avidad fan of ford 's I HAVE 4 THE first is an 78 f-150 that I bought new in 1977, I have put 475 thousand on this truck with various engine options, it has had two 351 two 429, right now it has a 460 truck block bored 30 over balanced & blued, it has 429 dove-c heads that have been decked 20 thou ported polished pro comp cam, magnam roler rockers eldenbrock intake preator carb, c-6 tran that has heave duty clutches shift kit, 2500 stall with a ford 9" with a detroit locker alloy axles and disk's on all four courners, it has a soft ride 9" suspension 39" mickey thompson, on 15" X 12" Alco rims tilt front end it is black and it is a hard too find step side.
the other trucks are a 1979 Bronco 4 lift 35" tires 351 with eldenbrock top end kit, and headers.
then I HAVE A 2001 Excursion that we have put 119 thousand miles on with 0 problems,brakes and plugs and I CHANGED THEM OUT AT 100 thousand and they still were in toularance. great truck.
we are right now in the process of rebuilding a 64 f- 100 and I have ran into a problem that I hope someone out there can help with I would like to put a idid it tilt stereing colum but ford on this model has the stearing shaft that comes all the way into the cab. I want to keep the straight axle. is there some way to modify or change out the stearing box to acomplish this.
