Well after a week of batteling my truck to remove the egr cooler and install the delete kit....i finally was finished on saturday...In the process of putting everything back together, I managed to brake the nipple off the manifold that has a hose attaching it to the MAP sensor. The part comes into the dealer on monday, so the hose is not connected right now. I also overtightened the v-clamp at the exhaust side of the turbo and stripped the threads. I had to temporarilly mickey mouse a spacer in between the bolt so it does not reach the stripped threads when tightened down....but I dont think it works that well.......After I got everything put together, I couldnt resist a start up to see if everything works...she fired up just fine...a little smoke came out the tail pipe, and that was it!!! no leaks...everything sounds and looks just like it should...I romped it a bit and all was o.k. so I figured a test drive wont hurt anything...pull out the driveway, start to drive off, and theres this bad vibration...basically two metal pieces vibrating off each other.....it comes from about the center of the dash area...so im assuming its the v-clamp thats not holding tight....when I give it a good romping, the vibration goes away but comes right back when the rpms are low enough...I continue driving a bit, and I cant go past 35 mph. Its drives/shifts fine withih the 35 mph range, but once I floor it, it dont go no where. It doesnt downshift. Im assuming its the map sensor not being connected...any one have any info or similar situations???? Im starting to get worried I messed up the turbo somehow while it was off?????
HHmmm.....if you would have read through the whole post, my question was if the map sensor NOT WORKING would cause this issue I am having....I wasnt looking for a smart ***!!!!!!
