has anyone attempted to put the interior of a 96 f-150 as well as the enging and tranny, etc...? basically keeping the body and giving the insides a newer look.
Johnson, Welcome to FTE The nations truck stop for ol Ford trucks.
I have seen a Slick married to a late model Lightening. A lot of high skill level work went into making it happen. If you are talking anything more than swapping in the seat it will be a fairly large task. You will need several weeks, a heated shop (winters coming on), with lots of tools and skill.
I might look at putting the old sheet metal on the newer chassis/running gear. The engine tranny combo is computer controlled, so moving the sheet metal might be easier while retaining the required electronics. IMHO
the reason i ask is because i subscribe to classic trucks magazine and i saw a truck in there with a 98 dodge with a 1950 dodge truck. basically everything the 98 had was transferred in to the 1950s dodge truck and look sweet.
