thanks for all the replys on the 17* ? i have a new ? will a 98 van motor work in my truck i found one with low miles for $600 that i think i am going to buy but will it work or do i have to change stuff to make it work i am going to buy it anyway for the parts alone but i heard it run and it runs mint so insted of messing with my motor anymore i will just swap it what do you guys think

It will work but I think the oil cooler, accessory brackets and maybe a few other small bolt on items are different. Also I am not sure which engine the 98 vans got. If it the OBS version or the superduty version. either way it will still work but you might have to do an electric fuel since the Supderduty motors don't have a lope on the cam to drive the fuel pump. Also the valve cover gaskets are different. So for $600 you would be crazy not to buy that engine. What you do with after depends on what you want to do. That is a great deal if it runs.
