I hope someone can help me with this because im stumped. I bought a universal turn signal switch from LMC Truck and Im having trouble hooking it up. I have a 69 F-100 Ranger. Has anyone done an install like this? If so can you tell me which wires from the steering column go where? I found a wiring diagram on this site but I guess my truck is a little different. I know that I should just be like Sherlock and figure it out but to be honest with you I am just too fat to dig around under the dash for long at a time. Can someone help a fat boy out?
Can you post a link to the diagram you have? Then I could possibly help you. I don't have a 69 diagram.
Basically the way it's going to happen is you will have two feed wires going in. One will be from the brake switch, and the other from the turnsignal flasher unit.
Leaving the switch will be two wires for the rear brake/turn, and two wires going out to the front turn lights and if your dash is equipped, the turn indicators in the cluster.
I recently bought the universal turn signal switch which is 8 wire. Problem is my original switch is 9 wire and has a hazard button and shift indicator bulb atached. Does anyone know what the deal is? My truck is a 65 f100 2wd. As far as I know the column belongs on the truck.
