Brake/Turn Signal/Parking Lights Clarification

Happy 4th everyone! I'm wiring up a new universal American Autowire harness in my project truck, a 1983 F-150. I do have the factory FoMoCo wiring diagrams, however I'm a little confused and would like to run my thoughts by you guys. So the Turn Signal and Brake Signal are the same wire, routed to the same filament, correct? Only difference being when I hit the turn signal switch, the flasher interrupts the signal on that side, right? Now what about the parking/running lights? Obviously that's a separate wire, but just connected to a different filament of the same bulb? Thank you in advance for the help, hope everyone is enjoying their 'merica filled weekend!

Welcome to the forum.
You have the it right on the wiring & bulbs.
IIRC the brake light wire goes from the BL switch up to the turn sig switch where it divides to left & right brake/turn lights run out back.

Now that I think of it should also have 2 wires going out of the switch to the front for left & right turn.

I don't remember any wiring diagrams showing the break down of the turn sig switch showing the above wiring.

For the parking/running lamps, it depends... some bulbs are dual-filament and operate as a single unit from multiple circuits, the rest of the side markers, license plate lamps, etc. are the same circuit (brown wire) but are independent bulbs.

Here is a representation of the turnsignal switch guts. They have the hazard switch made into them also.
