You may think it's trivial and can ask her if you want, whether Dad approves or not.
But it will change the course of deep, hidden rivers in the heart of your intended to make her that much more devoted to you. And also you to her.
And Dad will think you more a man than he did when he first saw you.
There's something intangable about doing this, but I know that it is much better to do this small thing than not.

I realize not everyone can do this but it is pretty unique. I asked her on her birthday. She said YES!
