When towing heavy or even a trailer with a lot of wind resistance the oil temp has hit 226 degrees. I only know this because I have the Banks with the PDA and it gives and alert tone at that temp. This has happened at power level 3 and 1 (stock).

What's up?
Banks warning temperature is set to low, as long as the EOT does not exceed 20F higher than the ECT everything is normal. Factory PCM in stock setting defuels & detunes the engine when the ECT reaches 227F or the EOT reaches 254F. If the EOT temperature is more than 20F warmer than the ECT temperature then this indicates a possible EOC failure.
Also just an FYI, do a search in the 6.0 forum on Banks modules, lots of information on them and they do not have a good track record with the 6.0 & Torqueshift. The Banks power module is hard on head gaskets and transmissions.

I would say set it 5 degrees higher and see if it alarms. If so, set it another 5 degrees higher. If you had to, you could probably repeat this another couple of times and be OK.
